Heading into the heart of the mountains, Cerro Verde is located near “Las Palmas”, a peaceful little town also know as “the door to the Sierra Madre”. Take a gentle trek into the foothills, enjoying the nature of the forest. A short hike up to a hidden waterfall where you can refresh yourself in the crystal waters, or sit back and relax in the cool air of the woods. The ride offers spectacular views of the mountains and trail through farmland pathways - Finish the day with a great typical lunch at the ranch.
From 09:00 am at specific pick up points in Nuevo Vallarta
Drop-off at hotels from 3:00pm
Pick up at pick up points - Approx. 30 minutes drive to the ranch, with guides narration about the surroundings, including cultural and historical information - Horses chosen depending on ability - Trail is along the riverside, through the hills and forests - Guests dismount horses and walk approx. 15 minutes along trails and across bridges to the waterfalls - Free time to swim at the waterfalls (approx. 45 minutes) -The ride offers spectacular views of the mountains and trail through farmland pathways - Typical Mexican lunch served on return to the ranch - Depart from the ranch to the hotels is approx. 2:00 pm.
Transportation to Ranch from pick up points in from Nuevo Vallarta - Guides - Horse rental- Riding helmets - Lunch and water - Transportation back to hotels
What to bring:
Comfortable clothes, mosquito spray repellent, sun block - bathing suit- towel and hat
Guests must be able to walk slightly uphill for at least 15 minutes - Not available to guests with mobility difficulties, back or neck problems or to pregnant women.
Minimum age: 5 years old - Tour operates rain or shine. The strength of the waterfall may vary at different times of the year.
